Abraham Lincoln was born on Feb 12, 1809, at Sinking Spring Farm near Hodgenville, Kentucky, US. His father was Thomas Lincoln and mother was Nancy Hanks Lincoln. He belonged to a very Poor Family and used to live in a one-room Log Cabin. When Mr. Lincoln was young his family moved to Indiana and then again to Illinois. In 1818, Abraham Lincoln Lost his Mother of Milk Sickness and Was Left With his Elder Sister, Sarah. But Unfortunately, 10 Years Later he Lost his Sister Too, Leaving his Completely distraught. He got married to Mrs. Mary Todd on Nov. 14, 1842. They had four children Robert Lincoln, Edward Lincoln, Willie Lincoln, and Tad Lincoln.

Abraham Lincoln went to school only for one year, but his Love for the Books was unbeatable. He used to borrow books and taught himself as much as he could. When He was 12 years old, he left his home and worked at a General Store to Support the Family’s Conditions. It was there that he got his Nickname “HONEST ABE” because once a customer overpaid by a few Pennies and that Night when the store Closed Lincoln walked four miles to give the Money Back. In 1832, Lincoln ran in an election to become a member of Illinois State Legislature but lost. After that, he served as a Captain in the Army.
In the Following Year, 1833, Abraham Lincoln Started his Second Business after the First One got Failed in 1831. But the New One too, Went Bankrupt and Lincoln was in Heavy Debt. In 1834, he got elected to the Illinois State Legislature as a member of the Wing party. In 1846 he was elected to the US House Of Representatives. He lost 8 times in the Elections, along With Business Failure Twice, but continued his journey without bothering about his failure.

In 1860, He Ran for the presidential Elections at the age of 51. It was a difficult time in the US. The North and South were Disagreeing on a lot of things and it was getting worse. One thing that they disagreed on was Slavery. The Northern States did not want any More Slavery. On 4th March 1861, Abraham Lincoln was Elected as the 16th President of the United States. He had the support of Northern States as both of them were against Slavery due to this he was able to Defeat his two Competitors.
As soon as he Became the President southern states began sending the forms to the Union. They Decided, they don’t want to be a part of the US anymore Leading to the Civil War in America. The War started in the same year and Lasted for four Years. On Jan 1st, 1863, Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, an order that Freed all the states in the Southern States. A few years later, he helped to pass the 13th Amendment to the Constitution which made Slavery Illegal everywhere in the United States. The civil war was ended on April 9th, 1865. With the new morning on April 9th, New Birth of the United States took place.
President Abraham Lincoln is widely considered to be one of the Greatest President in the History of America. His face is on One Penny and Five Dollar bills. Mr. Lincoln was Included in Mount Rushmore and the Memories for him Stands Tall in Washington DC. His Leadership during the Civil War teaches us that the True Meaning of Leadership. His defense of Human Liberty makes him a real Hero.
